I LOVE HIPSTAMATIC

I spent so much of my working photography life having to take into account the cameras metering, exposure, ISO, shutter speed and then on to post production that for me using my iphone and hipstatamatic is a creative weight off for me. Point n shoot bliss. I love that I don’t have to think of anything but the actual photograph itself. Which is basically why we started out in photography in the first place right.

Hipstamatic is one of the oldest apps, and I think to some people it’s like old-hat, a little cliche, and for me it’s a way of looking at it. I use hipstamatic and the iphone much as you would a lomo camera, of which I have several. Simply lock and load a roll of film and shoot. The similarity here is that you open the app and shoot. The image is processed as you click.

There are a zillion film and lens combinations to choose from and the two I come back to time and time again are …

US1776 (B&W) with the WONDER lens and for (colour) I use BLANKO and use the YOONA lens.

All images below were taken using those combinations.

This is fun, no fuss, photography straight ouf of out of the can.
