A Photography Workshop that Dares

Nov 15, 2018

Janice, Deborah, Alex, Mark, Leanne, Sarah D, Sarah A, Jo and Alison are the reason I facilitate the Dare workshop. It is why I came up with the crazy idea to bring a band of photographers together every few months, to connect, to share, to have fun and to go for it 100% over the two days.

I am humbled to be able to watch them go through their process, to be vulnerable when it matters and to support each other like they’ve been friends for life when they’ve in actual fact only known eachother a few hours. Dare is a challenging 2 days. It is. It supports us to first get clear in what is not working and then to get clear on what we need to do to make a shift. This can be challenging.

I often think that I should be listening to what I’m speaking about more than anybody. Like I have the most to learn. The persons ears closest to my mouth are indeed mine. And I personally got to see, once again, how we are all the same. All of us. We have all the same insecurities, fears and we feel separate quite often. Being around these guys for two days is a gift as it always is at the workshop and I feel so blessed to be able to do this.

We were up against it at the workshop as two models didn’t show. (Not you Aline – that was my fault :)). Luckily we had Fariyal and Dani and … two participants – Alison & Alex (I owe you cool cats big time) stepped in to model for us. In your debt. πŸ™‚

Love all of you guys.
